How do I require first and last names on the Register page?

I would like to know how to do this as well.

I’m trying to do exactly the same thing, will start emailing some site owners that have got it working for help. I think it might involve taking some code from wp-admin/users.php. That’s the back end page where new users can be added by the admin.

I really really want to learn how to do this… Have any of you had any luck?

Technically can’t we just use that register.php in the link you posted above, only change all the href links to our own databases?

They pretty much have done exactly what we’d need to do.
