    Re-upload the original sidebar.php. Replace it.

    I don’t see an option for Upload or Replace. I just see where I can edit or update. Where do I go to get the original code?

    you shouldn’t do multiple posts for the same issue.

    I know. It was an accident. The first time I posted i got a response that said something like “no search met your criteria” so I figured I didn’t really post anything.

    Go to www.ads-software.com
    download the latest version of wordpress to your computer
    expand the zip file
    go to wp-content/themes/default/
    open sidebar.php
    copy everything in there
    paste it into the EDIT screen for sidebar.php in your wordpress website
    save

    thank you.

    I did find my original download afterall. I opened the file: sidebar.php and replaced the code. Now, I have nothing in my sidebar at all except a search box.
