Updraft Plus, a backup plugin I just paid another year’s worth of $70 for, is telling me now it doesn’t support updates for www.ads-software.com version 4.9.1. It says it only supports updates up to version 4.9. Why is that? I think I need to roll back my www.ads-software.com version to 4.9 for now, how exactly do I go about doing that? Should I do that? I heard there are a lot of backdoor viruses or trojans going into www.ads-software.com plugins lately, too, so I don’t know exactly what is causing my problems with Updraft Plus. Also, my browser (Google Chrome) is acting funny when I deactivate a plugin. It lets me deactivate it, then it won’t delete it properly unless the browser goes down. Then I have to restart the browser. I’m worried something came in through a plugin and is hurting my www.ads-software.com account and website, like some kind of backdoor trojan.

    – For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site. As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums.
    – Also, forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly.

Unless you have a backup that you can restore from, downgrading is a dangerous process, which is why backing up before upgrading is strongly recommended both in the upgrade instructions and automatic upgrade interface.

It would be better to solve your current problem.

Hi, I have a new problem. I am going to need to republish my website. But it is down and I can’t log into it. To access the Updraft Plus backups there. I do have them stored via the cloud on Google Drive. So I could upload those backup files from there. However, I have no idea how to do it. Would it be a case of using FTP publishing? How do I go about doing that to upload a backup to the site?

It’s at rainbowriting.com if it would help you to load the site and see the error message.
