• I’m trying to edit the colors of the default theme, but I have no idea how to activate the change after I’m done. There’s no “save” option on the edit page. Do I have to do the edit offline (on my computer) and then upload it to the server?

  • Is the file writeable? Does it say something like ‘if this file was writeable you could save it’?

Yep, it does, but there’s no option to save it. Trying to save it the normal way would prompt it to try to save to your hard drive. I’m doing the editing online, accessing it on my server (remote) from my home computer (local).

You need to make the files writeable first before you can edit and save them, this means chmod the files you want to edit to 777, and after editting change the chmod back to safe again…at least that is what I do.

If I do that, will a “save” option appear on the template editing page? How would I actually save? I suppose a simple ctrl+s is not going to do it, as that’ll prompt me to save to the hard drive?

I took a quick look and it gives you an “update file” button.

Sorry for not mentioning this before ??
