    Keep in mind the time is relative to the server itself but hopefully, the time is set right for your own location via the WordPress settings.

    That plugin is probably dependent on Cron causing the switch and it might be the switch doesn’t occur until cron is triggered by a visit and doesn’t show until the second visit.

    You might want to set a pair of cron tasks to run at the hours you need the changes to happen. That way the changes occur regardless of traffic.

    I run this plugin myself even though it’s a little dated now. Still seems to work. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-crontrol/. Your web server’s control panel will usually offer cron… I use an outside service myself but I have a lot or cron tasks running. https://www.setcronjob.com/ I think they still offer some free services.
