• Hi,
I had a post in WordPress.com, but I recently shifted to self hosting and installed WP. I installed the inbuilt Jetpack plugin, and used the Jetpack subscription widget to let visitors subscribe by mail. The problem is, when I post, subscribers seem to be getting the full content of my post rather than just a summary. I’m afraid this will bring down the number of visitors to my blog.
I solved this problem earlier at wordpress.com, by going to Read>Feed>Sunmmary but that doesn’t seem to be working here. Do i need to make any changes to the plugin php files for enabling only summary mails?
    Please help!

Thank you Denis, but I already tried that. It doesn’t seem to have helped. Can you suggest anything else? any changes i should make to the jetpack plugin itself?

The changes should take effect after your next post. Whatever posts are have already been published will remain full length.

This is a bug; we’ll be addressing it in an upcoming release (no ETA).

Oh, hey, Tim, Thank you, looking forward to that!
Just a question, when you release the next version of the Jetpack Subscription widget, if I install the new version, will I lose my subscribers list in the old one?

No, you won’t lose any subscribers when we release a new version.

Tim, can you please please fix this bug soon? My site visits have dropped terribly because of it!

Same problem here. Email subscribers get full posts and it’s taking traffic away from the site. What’s the visibility on this being addressed?

Add us to the list of folks eager to see the bug fixed!
