    I have a domain of christiangays.com with subdomains of chat.christiangays.com and dating.christiangays.com

I have multisite installed, and users are integrated perfectly including buddypress extended profile fields. All is working as it should.

My problem is with Simple Membership, which I understand can be used on multisite, but I don’t know how.

I have it installed and network activated. All members show up on my main domain. The settings have been carried forward, but not the levels or members. I have no levels and no members on chat or dating.

I can create levels and import the members, but then I end up with 3 ID numbers for every member, and I don’t think that’s how it should work.

What do I have to do to get my subdomains to call on the main domain database for my levels and members?

    Thank you.

This plugin works exactly the same way any other standard plugin works for WordPress multi-site.

Remember, Multi-site works as if all those sub-sites were different. Multi-site allows you to use the same set of files for all the sites. However, the functionality will be no different than if you installed the plugin on those sites separately.

You should do some reading on how the standard WP Multi-site works so there is no confusion.

I continue to read more and more about multi-site, but to respond to your post,

<<Remember, Multi-site works as if all those sub-sites were different.>>

Actually, the settings for Simple Membership are exactly the same for all three domains. They are obviously sharing the same database. This is all I want for levels and members.

<<the functionality will be no different than if you installed the plugin on those sites separately. >>

I understand that I can create levels on all three domains separately, and I can import members to all three domains, but then every member has 3 ID#’s. This is what I am trying to avoid.
