How do I share on social network which displays the title, image, summary & link

Joomlart, thank u for the advice! ?? I know I can do that but I also know there is a better way. I have seen it somewhere. Either i need a plugin or change something in the sharing settings in my current social sharing plugin. But I can’t find it now. Thanks anyways!

Great question! “Tweeting” as you mentioned above, does not share an image by default. It sounds like you may not have open graph meta tags assigned for your post when sharing to Facebook. You can definitely troubleshoot this issue with this helpful guide: https://support.shareaholic.com/hc/en-us/articles/200471606-Troubleshooting-Facebook-Issues . Once you have those set, the correct information should appear when sharing. Also, the same debug tool can be found for Google+ here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets

@maryanne_shareaholic thanks! I haven’t tried with fb yet but tried with twitter. I’ll check it with fb now. However, since I have seen people tweeting links with pictures, I thought it is possible with shareaholic. May be they are using some other plugin or something. It is OK for now.

Also, is there a way to change the floating icon’s style/shape/size/color? I know I can do that with the icons which display at the bottom of the posts, but I can’t figure out how to change the ones that are floating. I want all the SM icons across my site to look uniform.

Also, I only want to display floating share button with the individual posts, not on the category or about/contact page. How can I disable them? I only see an option to disable them completely and not selectively.

To change the style of the Floated Share Button’s, you will need to log into your Shareaholic.com account. From your Website Dashboard page, click the settings button on the right of where it reads “Floated Share Buttons”. Currently, you can change the size and what share services you would like to display. However, we don’t have a feature to change the shape of the share buttons yet.

Also, at the moment we don’t have a feature to disable Floated Share Buttons from specific pages, but we do have a helpful guide on how to insert code manually into your site template to remove the buttons from a specific page: https://support.shareaholic.com/hc/en-us/articles/203398957-How-to-enable-or-disable-Floated-Share-Buttons-on-a-specific-page
