How do I sort the categories list in WPecommerce?

  • How do I sort the categories list in WPecommerce?

    I have tried many times to search for similar questions/answers on various forums but to no avail. I am using:

    Wordpress v 4.9.6–en_GB
    Theme: SKT Full WidthVersion v1.6.7
    WP ecommerce v 3.13.1 (using Payapl ExpressCheckout 2.0)

    I have added parent and child categories and now wish to sort the parent and child categories into orders of my chosing, when I go to ‘Products/Categories’ the categories will not drag and drop, when I go to ‘Settings/Store/Presentation’ and select ‘Sort Product By: Drag & Drop’ this only allows products to be ordered. Is there an option anywhere to Drag and Drop catergories.

    The website only generates apprximately ￡1,000 sales per annum (we are a small sole trader selling miniature books and prints for dollshouses) so we do not think it economical to have Gold Cart support at $99.00 per year unless this gives us the functionality we need.

    Any assistance woudl be gratefully appreciated.

  • Hi Neil,
    When we used WP-ecommerce we found that the only option was to use category names in alphabetical order and choose words that fell into the order that worked for us. We’ve got an unused Gold Cart license that we could sell on to you. You don’t have to have the Annual support unless you need the upgrades. let me know if you want to consider this option.
