How do I start WordPress?

You have webspace for your blog to be uploaded into ?
And you’ve checked that WP will run there too ?

The only blog I have is Livejournal, but I know I need to have another one for WordPress to work. Which ones do you recommend?

If you have no idea what did you download (it was “the” blog) and how to start – why did you download it? Perhaps you should read before the requirements, the documentation etc.
There is also an introduction to blogging on the Wiki. Try it ??

LJ is hosted, WP is not, so you need to host it yourself, usually on a domain you own.
There are some free providers who have it all set up and ready to go – do a search here for gnuker ??

No I do not have a website I can put it on. I am a bit confused by all of this. I thought if I signed onto gNuker it would give me a website to host my WordPress blog on. I guess not.
