I switched web hosts to one that provides backups. Once I’d moved, suddenly I started getting 800 emails every time the database was supposed to run. But there’s nothing attached, so I’ve just got an inbox full of blank emails. I deactivated the plugin and it was still doing it. Then I tried reactivating it, wiping the settings, and then deactivating it again. And it’s STILL doing it. I cannot have a plugin I don’t need any more sending that many emails. How do I disconnect it COMPLETELY from my website so it stops sending so many emails every single day?

    Hi,

In all previous occasions that this has been reported, it has turned out that the emails were from another plugin – iThemes Security, if I remember rightly. Do you have that? If not, are you able to post the email headers, please?

This does establish that it’s not UpdraftPlus. No code from de-activated plugins can run, because WordPress won’t run it.

Yeah I do have iThemes Security. I shall investigate that – thanks!
