How do I take out Pingback and Trackback in …

  • I want to take all reference to the Discussion Box and its Options, Pingback, Trackback, Edit Timestamp and Custom Fields Box in the Write window.
    I also want to change the default Post Status to “Publish” instead of “Draft”
    Can I get some direction?
