How do I turn off Post Meta Data ?

Hi – Posts are automatically populated with the title of the page plus when it was posted , by whom etc. as per the below example. I;, using WP as an CMS and therefore want to keep the Page title but turn off the rest of the data. There is a file called metadata.php where I could just comment some stuff out – but but that feels like a really rough hack. Is there a ‘proper way ‘ ??
