How do i use shortcode on calendar page?

I’m trying to wrap my brain around shortcodes and how to use them, but do they even do what i need them to?

I need to have Category AND Location filter drop-downs above my full calendar, but the admin only lets me select one (radio buttons).

Is there a way to do this with short codes?
