How do plugins place content on a page?
-
What is the mechanism that plugins use to tell WP where to insert content on a page? I have looked till I’m blue in the face, but I can’t work it out.
The plugin that’s troubling me is MapPress, which inserts its maps right at the top of the content just below the permalink. But I can’t see what’s controlling this. I want the maps to display further down the page. But I’d like to know how to fix these things if they happen with other plugins too.
If your response is that this is controlled through the plugin options, please also tell me the options page URL, as the options menu is missing from my installation (subject of another support request elsewhere).
Thanks, Tony
