EDIT: OK, I realize now that I am bypassing the final review page which is the cause of this issue. Is there anyway to make this work while still bypassing this page?

I am trying to set up PayPal Express checkout through your plugin, but the shipping options are not working for me.

I have quite a few international customers slipping through the cracks without paying shipping.

The shipping is set up correctly within my Woocommerce settings and works when I use the regular PayPal option that comes with Woocommerce.

I think the issue is that my checkout flow goes straight from the cart, where I have it set up to display possible shipping rates, to PayPal express.

My customers have not entered any addresses at this time, so I think my Woocommerce does not know which shipping options to display.

Am I missing something along the way? I’m assuming that the majority of customers who choose to use PayPal Express are doing so to streamline the checkout process, so it really shouldn’t be a requirement that the customer fill out information on the checkout page, and through the PayPal Express portal.

I would appreciate a quick response since I am not in a position to take my site down right now (sent out a large newsletter before I realized this issue), but orders are still slipping through without paying for any shipping methods.

    Regards, Phil

As it stands now you’re not going to be able to skip the review page if you need shipping/tax calculated based on the shipping address chosen by the user in their PayPal account.

Express Checkout does include a way to make this work, where you can build a web service that the PayPal review page would hit to obtain shipping/tax info and display it for selection on their page. That way you could then skip the final review on your own site.

Unfortunately, that feature is not very reliable, and as such, we’ve never made a priority to get built into this plugin.

I would really recommend that you just leave the review page in place for things to work smoothly.

    I have a question along these lines…

When they don’t skip the review page, does it give them the option to choose a shipping method on the review page before the payment is processed back through Paypal?

I want to offer free shipping with an upsell for a tracking number and still, have the Paypal express payment option available but unfortunately, I can’t ever seem to get the sandbox set up correctly to test it all the way through.

Can I get some clarity on this?

Yes, make sure you are not skipping the review, and then the user would be returned to that review page with shipping/tax options displayed based on their shipping address from PayPal.

If you can elaborate on where you’re getting stuck with the sandbox I can help you more there.

Thank you for the clarification on that. I think I finally got the shipping worked out and actually got a couple of sales last night so things are playing nicely.

On the sandbox…I went back and ran through the settings again and when I activated the sandbox mode I get a “10002 – Security header is not valid” error when I hit PPE. New thread or quick fix?

That means something is wrong with the API credentials that are getting used in sandbox mode. Need to double the values, and make sure they are indeed sandbox account values and not live account values.
