• I see on digg.com I can add my wordpress url, username and password, and they can add post from digg.com to my wordpress site…

    how is this done? I’m just confused on how they get access to the database?

    Please just let me know what to search for to find the answer.

  • I haven’t researched this but an obvious answer to me seems to be that you added your wordpress url, username, and password into their sytem. That information is probably stored in a database (it’s probably encrypted, and digg is a reliable site so I doubt you should worry about any security risks) and now with your username and password in their system, they can use that information to “post” on your wordress blog. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s really done, but it seems most likely to me.
