How do we stop spam registrations without Google reCAPTCHA?

    How do we stop spam registrations as the plugin seems to have no local CAPTCHA, Honeypot, or email verification ability in the user registration process?

    I did find a Google reCAPTCHA field, however, I do not want to rely on an external third-party service.
