Hi @cgl102770
Thank you for getting in touch.
Triggers
You’ll need to decide first if you want the popup to show immediately or by clicking a link or button.
There are two triggers you can choose. Those are:
- Time Delay/Auto Open – load the popup immediately.
- Click Open – load the popup by clicking a link or button.
Trigger: Time Delay/Auto Open
Here’s how you can add the trigger:
- Open the popup settings.
- Select the Triggers tab.
- Click Add New Trigger.
- Select Time Delay / Auto Open.

Trigger: Click Open
There are many ways to use this trigger. One of those is by selecting the popup on WordPress Gutenberg.
Here’s how to:
- Create a popup without a trigger. No worries, it will automatically detect which popup for this example.
- Open your page with WordPress Gutenberg.
- Highlight the text you want.
- Click the dropdown of the WordPress block to select Popup Trigger.

Targeting
Add a targeting rule if you like to show the popup on certain page/post. Leave it blank if you’d like to show the popup across the site.
We also have an article that explains in depth of each options for the popup settings.
