    We’ve created a gallery, but we now need to add a further 20 images to it. The images are varied names.

    So we went to edit the gallery, and Select Images, then started to search, Select… search.. Select… Search.. Select. Only to find it was only importing 1. So where it says Images 1, it will never go above.

    So it seems you have to go Select Images, search… select. Select button. Wait… then Import. and do it all over again.

    Is that really how to add multiple images to a gallery??

    Hi @simon_a6,

    There are plenty of upload options and the one from “NextGen Gallery -> Add Gallery/Images -> Upload Images” surely should allow selecting multiple images while browsing your local directory.

    Alternately, you can even use drag&drop to bulk add image files from your local storage within “Drag image and ZIP files here” box.

    If the above mentioned doesn’t work for you or the uploading process doesn’t complete then that would point to an issue.

    OH you can… if all images are in the Media window… but if they are scattered… ie:

    asset1.jpg
    img234324.jpg
    london.jpg…

    You have to search for each one. I was expecting to be able to select.. select… etc… and it shows how many are chosen.

    But instead you have to select.. then import.. .then go back and do it again.
    Most Gallery tools show the “selection” at the bottom of the media library popup, so you can see what you have “gathered”.

    Alas we don’t want to use Drop n Drop as the images are already in the media library – so prefer not to duplicate. Plus, we would just have to search for them anyway.

    @simon_a6,

    You can hold down the Left Ctrl key from your keyboard while selecting multiple images from WP Media and it will allow you add multiple to NextGen’s uploader.

    Again, not sure this would work.
    Scenario:

    You type in the WP Media search box: “asset” and up comes the photo you want. You select it. Then you need to search for another.

    How would that work with your method, if you need to search for about 25 photos?

    Hi @simon_a6,

    Even in this case, it is possible to:

    1) Select and image;
    2) Search for another image from WP Media;
    3) Hold left Ctrl key before selecting a new image that you’ll want to add

    By pressing left Ctrl key, just before clicking to select a new image, you will be able to select multiple images.

    Since it’s been a while since we last heard back from you, I’m going to mark this thread resolved.

    Hopefully, you were able to find a solution to your problem! If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.

    Cheers! ??
