How do you align the checkboxes and such

The plugin works great, but looks a mess.
The checkboxes aren’t aligned, they just go one after the other. I thought using the ‘columns option’ would help, but that just creates extremely small columns and if there is another group of options, it puts those options beside the first group and not under it. To make it worse the first option is right up against the column title and not below it.

How can I get the options under the title and in columns?
