How do you change the transparency of the "Our Focus" area?

If you haven’t created a child theme, then use a CSS plugin like Jetpack or Custom CSS Manager and add this rule:

.focus {
   background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.7);
}

The last value is the opacity and can range from 0 (totally transparent) to 1.0 (totally opaque). So a value of 0.7 is 70% opaque (30% transparent). Play around with that last value to get the transparency that you want.
