    I used this shortcode

    this should work ok.

One think that could cause a problem is if the filename contains international characters and you are running on a windows server.

There is an issue with unicode characters eg (French acutes) in filenames with PHP on windows that may be the culprit.

On a Linux based web hosts this is not a problem.

If you are on a Windows server and are uploading files with non ascii characters in it then try a file that just has ascii characters in it e.g in English.

Thats all I can think of that may be causing this.

So try some other files and see if they delete successfully.

I’m glad it should work okay. It’s not working okay. This is the name of my file.

Is there something wrong with numbers and an underscore?

How do you delete files in this plugin? What is the actual process for doing so? How is it supposed to work? I see others have had this problem but those answers don’t pertain. It’s obviously an issue.

I want this file out of my website, how do I get it out? I”m not cluttering up my website with files I don’t want.

Even if I manage to upload and delete other files, that doesn’t solve my problem of getting rid of the file I don’t want. What do I do to get rid of it?

Sorry, I tried with that file name and it works for me, so I cannot reproduce your problem.

Try a clean installation of word press without any other plugins using the default theme.

If that works then try de-activating other plugins one at a time on the broken installation and see if you can get it to work.

How do you delete a file in this plugin? Can you please answer that question?

You tried with the filename? LOL what does that do without the actual file? Other than prove that your theory that it has to do with the filename, is not the answer.

If it still is failing your web host may not be configured to allow http DELETE request,

you can look at this link for possible fixes,

How do you delete a file in this plugin? What is the process?

If what is ‘still failing’? I haven’t been given any process to try. So there’s nothing to ‘fail’.

I don’t get any errors, just nothing happens. Please explain how it is supposed to work.

I am able to delete any other images that have been uploaded, so my web host must be configured to allow it.
