    Hello!

My customers will not be signed in when they are browsing the store.

If they abandon the cart, then how will you email them? How will you have their email address? Is this definitely possible for logged out users? I don’t know how you would have their email address.

Hopefully you can explain! Thanks for your support!

    Peter

    Hello @scratchmaster,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Plugin captures the email address for both logged out and logged in users.

When users land on the checkout page and once fill the email address field on the checkout page, the checkout and cart data will be collected.

After 15 min plugin check if order is completed or not. If not completed then it sends the recovery emails to the users.

If completed then it just deletes the data.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi there I have a question regarding this.

Does the plugin create some temporary order and stores that in some custom tables? Wonder because I disabled all statues and all users in the settings panel. I guess the plugin should still trigger for “customers” and “guest users”.

    Also regarding the order statues:
If all order statuses are disabled, does this still capture cart abandonment?

    Hello @curky,

The order status option is to exclude the email sending for that order statues.

Once the order placed it will check the current order status and will mark the order as recovered if that order status is checked in the setting.
If not then will continue sending the emails.

Capturing the carts will continue until you uncheck the Enable Tracking option from the plugin.

Let us know if you have any questions.
