• I’m trying to install the latest version of podpress on my website and I got the thing to work, but I can’t get it to connect to itunes. Do I need a feed id? If my podcast is already listed on iTunes how do I find my feed id?

    thanks

  • Did you ever find the soluion, I/m in the same place ,,, what to do to generate the RSS Feed, iTunes:FeedID and the “suscribe” buttons.

    I’ve just had part of the same problem so went back to the email I received from iTunes when I first submitted a podcast via podpress.

    This is what I found:
    https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=167021225

    The last numbers: 167021225 are what you need to put into the iTunes:FeedID box.

    Sorry. Don’t know what to do if you don’t have that info but I hope this helps.

    This page from Apple gives great instructions on getting your podcast into iTunes: this is a long page of instructions, do a “Find” for FEEDID and it explains how to get your Feed ID # (same method described above but more details)…
    https://www.apple.com/itunes/store/podcaststechspecs.html

    The amazing thing is, PodPress handles almost all of that for you, once you put in your FeedID.

    Now, this from PodPress info: 4. To add a link to itunes on your website, set the FeedID in the PodPress options page, and then add this code in your template
    <?php podPress_iTunesLink(); ?>
