• When you are working in an IDE, you can search/find/replace specific text. Eg, if you manage a website with a few hundred pages and you wanted to change a piece of info that occurs on multiple pages, you simply do a “find” that includes the whole site. The result shows up in an extra (floating) window or something similar. When you select a hit, the particular file that contains the hit opens and you can make the change, etc.

Example: Big company. Few hundred WP pages. Multiple sites. You have the same address/phone number published on multiple pages. The address/phone number changes and now you need to update them.

I would like to be able to somehow use a simple find/replace functionality without updating eevvrryy ssiinnggllee ppaaggee one by one – which is a nightmare – something like an IDE has.

Any ideas for a good workflow?

    Thanks.
