Once the order status is changed to Complete, the gift card number will be generated and emailed to the recipient.

In WooCommerce, the “Check” payment amount will place the order “On Hold” automatically so that you can mark the order as Processing when you receive the check. Since you are just testing orders, you can manually mark the order as Complete.

Also note that The PW Gift Card product type is marked as “Virtual” in WooCommerce. This instructs WooCommerce to automatically place the order status to Complete when you only purchase a gift card (no other products). You will also notice during checkout that WooCommerce will not require shipping information.

You can mark the gift cards to send as soon as the order is received. Click on Pimwick Plugins > PW Gift Cards > Settings > Check the “Send When Order Received” checkbox.

This will work for all new orders, however any existing orders you will need to first change the Order status to “In Progress” and then save. Next, change the order status to “Completed” and save. This will generate and email the gift cards on the order.
