How do you go about marking a required field?

    Hello,
    I am new to Mailchimp and I couldn’t find an answer online.
    So by default the form doesn’t have an asterisk for required fields, is there a specific reason for this?
    And if I want to implement it, should I just add it manually and write something like “* required” below the field, or is there a functionality for this?

    Hi,

    It is indeed up to you how you want to display that, and you can indeed just add an * in the form editor manually if you want.

    So is not marking the field at all actually a common way of handling this? Why do people do leave it out? Does it look better?
    I just want to understand what the general approach is here.
    Let’s say I have 1 non-required field (First name) and 1 required field (Email).
