• On my site, I will be selling digital downloads. I have a credit card/shopping cart system setup already that, once charged, will re-direct the user to the proper URL so they can download their purchase.

However, how do I go about hiding that url or securing it from prying eyes or thieves? what’s stopping someone from harvesting my website to see all the URL’s, then just bypass the credit card/shopping cart and go directly to the URL? I have yet to figure this out (while millions of other sites have…). Is there a plug-in that will do this for me? (hoping this is the correct forum for this question).

    Thanks in advance.

Pou7777 – thanks for the link.

I should clarify or revise my question. The end user won’t actually be downloading anything, per say. What I’m offering on my site will be “instant tech support” and I use Logmein Rescue. I have a small form built where the user will input info, click the button, and be instantly connected to me for remote support (via my Logmein rescue software). Naturally, I don’t want anyone just getting on the URL and wanting support. I want them to go through the shopping cart, purchase the support they want (different type of support, difference prices), make their purchase, then be directed to my “connect to support” type page.

I figured the download thing would work – tried that plugin above, but just didn’t do what I anticipated/expected.
