How do you move unattached images into media library?

  • Is it possible to move all unattached images into the media library?

    I use a plug-in to make slideshows of images (Slideshow) and apparently even if I have uploaded an image and it’s in a slideshow, it still gets categorized as unattached.

    I want to move everything into the media library so I can have more than one slideshow using the same photos (different combos) w/o having to upload the photos again.

    Any insight would be great! If there’s another way to make slideshows w/o re-uploading the pics, I would love to try that too. Thanks.

    Whoa, apparently I’m such a newb I don’t even know how to install this plugin in my dashboard. It only lets me download the zip file but I don’t know where to put it…

    That is part of the manual method. So, go to Dashboard > Plugins> Add New and type the plugin name at the search box, then install and activate it. After that you will find “Add From Server” at Dashboard > Media. After you go there, go to the folder where the files have been uploaded and register them, and be certain to select “Current Date” when you do that. And if you later wish, you can use FileZilla and an FTP (or preferably SFTP) connection to upload files to any folder (even a new one of your own) and then use the plugin to register them in the media library.
