Thanks, Samboll. Are there any tools to get rid of 2200 waiting comments in one fell swoop? Or would I just delete this blogsite and start another. And HOW DO YOU PLUG IN THE PLUG-INS? Someone told me about them, but I didn’t know how to do it! Thanks again.

If you want to delete the spam through your database using phpmyadmin

Delete from comments where comment_approved = 'spam';

The Akismet plugin comes with WordPress and can be activated easily enough. Visit your plugin menu.
