How Do You UNinstall This Plugin?

    I installed the iThemes Security free plugin to test it out. I now want to remove it… but clicking “Deactivate” in the Plugins admin panel doesn’t do anything. Is it safe to just delete the plugin’s folder? Or is there another way to deactivate it?

  • click deactivate then click uninstall to uninstall it

    Thanks @noahstricker. I tried that. Repeatedly. It wouldn’t deactivate. I had to deactivate ALL plugins in order to get it to work. Must’ve been a conflict with another plugin.

    it works for me so I think you must have been pressing the blue activate button instead of the red delete button

    @noahstricker… thanks, glad it worked for you. It was most definitely NOT a user error… the plugin would NOT deactivate and would NOT delete until I deactivated EVERY plugin. But it’s gone now, so all’s well.
