I changed some text in Elementor. The blog says “Wait a few seconds, and notice that the page is saved automatically”. I don’t see any indication of the page being saved–what should I be looking for? When I exit Elementor and return to the page in Elementor the latest changes are not there. What should I be doing to get autosave working?

    Thanks

    Hi @sedelstein,

    Autosave mechanism works like WordPress.

Once there is automatic save, you can see a green loading line at the top of the page. You can also see when you last saved by clicking the arrow on the update button at the bottom of the panel, where you should see when the last edit / save was done.

You can learn about the modify Autosave Interval here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Editing_wp-config.php#Modify_AutoSave_Interval

    Thanks

Thanks @arielk-1. It seems to be working although I’m not seeing a green loading line. I changed the autosave interval to 30 seconds. I didn’t realize the default was 60 seconds. I was exiting before 60 seconds after a change and that explains why the changes weren’t saved.

Is there a way to do a manual save or do you have to wait for the autosave?

You can click on “Save Draft” or “Update” buttons to save.
To better clarify this is the logic behind the new method (Autosave / Auto-Draft):
