    Hi,

I’ve just installed and customised customizr about 3 days back … great theme.. but a few very “basic level” things are non-customisable!

they are – background colours of all areas, text colours, and there is apparently NO colour or underline in words that are linking URL’s..so one cant even make out that they are URL’s! I’ve scoured the entire documentation AND all the code snippets first and now I know that header, footer etc background colours can be changed through some code snippets (however options in theme would be great!), AND I have still not found anything to do with URL’s.

So pls do let me know how to make the words that are hyperlinked – look like they are!

Also 1 bug – If I don’t want a menu on top and dont HAVE a menu defined in my WP installation, it should ideally not show anything – however that’s not the case , I see the text “add menu” on the page where a menu is supposed to be there! Currently my site (blog.twilightfairy.in) HAS a menu so u wont see this error, but u can check it at ur end by deleting all menus.

All help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hi twilightfairy,
the skin you chose (black2) shows normal text with #5a5a5a color, some kind of grey, and the hyperlink #394143 a darker grey.
For different skins the difference between normal text and hyperlinked is more evident.
Change the link aspect it’s just about some css rules you can easily apply.

That one you call a bug isn’t a bug. That “Add menu” link is a kind of helper, and is visible just when you haven’t set a menu and you’re logged in as a “super user” (see admin). It’s not visible to the “public”.

    Hope this helps. ??

Thanks, yes that helps! Will change the colours and check again.

Also I have a query – if I change my theme to some other theme, does all this customisation that i’ve done in the current theme get lost? From what I understand, as long as i dont upgrade the theme and the folder stays as is, all themes retain the customised data (not talking about the child theme customisation in css right now) but with customizr I have some doubts .. are all the settings getting stored somewhere permanently or getting dynamically generated based on choices in customise theme option? IF they are dynamic, how do I retain them?

    Hi,
as for other themes customizr settings are stored in the db. So unless you delete them from there (or your db gets damaged), you’ll keep them ??
