How does post formats work at admin ui?

    Hi,

    when I create a new postin WordPress 3.8.1 I can select the post format, but that doesn’t have an effect on the admin interface. I thought that, depending on the post format, I can see different input fields. Like, when you select “link” it offers you an input field for the URL, as you can see here:

    But I don’t see any changes of the user interface. Btw., I’m using the theme TwentyFourteen.

    Hi,

    Is really no one facing that issue? I’m using the latest WordPress version and the default theme – can’t be anything wrong with that. Even if most people use standard posts, there must be someone using post formats…
