How does publish to local work with paths and existing content?

  • Hi,
    I’ve three questions,
    WP is in a protected Subdir.
    I want to publish to site root without overwriting another directory which is not related to WordPress or used by WordPress.
    I would like to know

    • Will using ./. work in the local path field of the plugin settings to publish the static files one directory up to the site root?
    • Will publishing this way overwrite previously published files from this static generator?
    • Will other folders not used for the static site be overwritten as well?
