How does the integration work?

  • I realise this helps subscribe users to existing MailChimp lists. Does it enable me to use those lists from wordpress, eg send new blog entries to a given list – or must i go into mailchimp and create a campaign etc etc.

    OK, so they are subscribed to a mailchimp list … then what? Can one then mail to the list from one’s wordpress site?

    Hi, I guess that could be possible but with another plugin. This plugin only integrates Simple Membership with MailChimp via a MailChimp list.

    If you know how to use Mailchimp, you can easily set up a campaign there to deliver new posts to your Mailchimp list regularly, using your RSS feed. Mailchimp will lead you through it step-by-step, and the thing is free until you reach a certain very high threshold, at which point you will have had lots of time to figure out how to pay for it.

    Whether you set that up automatically or do it manually, you’ll be working through your Mailchimp account, not directly from your website/Wordpress install.
