I have read the article on how to edit the document page that the plugin creates automatically. But I don’t place the Document Status metabox.

I look for it on the self-created page but it doesn’t appear. I use Avada but it is in normal edit mode. There is the metabos to hide banner but not the document status

where can I see or activate the metabox to edit the autogenerated content?
    Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @javiconzentra,

The metabox appears when the page contains a Complianz document shortcode. Does this page contain the shortcode?

The page is created by Complianz which adds the following shortcode

    [cmplz-document type=”cookie-statement” region=”eu”]
    <!– wp:complianz/document {“title”:”Política de cookies (UE)”,”selectedDocument”:”cookie-statement”} /–>

    Hi @javiconzentra,

    You can use [cmplz-document type=”cookie-statement” region=”eu”]

The meta box shows on Gutenberg or Classic editor, please let me know this works.

I have saved a page with the code in HTML. I refresh the page and it still doesn’t appear

If I use Avada but edit in Classic Editor I can’t see it?

    Hi @javiconzentra,

Just checked – please check if Document Status is enabled, under Screen options. I think this might off by default with Avada.

    Hi @javiconzentra,

Then I guess it’s not Avada. I see it’s localhost, could you try deactivating all plugins besides Complianz and see if this works?

I have disabled Avada and put a WordPress theme and removed all plugins except Complianz and it still doesn’t work.

I have tried on another site with Avada with the same result. This is a public page. https://www.dsd0.com

I have tried on another site, with DIVI and this one does show the content in Default Editor mode. But when editing, half the content disappears and is not displayed when publishing.(https://intranet.dsd0.net/git/jsalinas/gica0_web/legal/politica-de-cookies-ue/) And create a white space under footer. With the Divi editor it shows the text but when you go to edit the tag appears.

Wouldn’t it be easier when we configure Edit and not sync save the page as HTML and generate two shortcodes? (Add the codes on the self-created page or on your own page.)
    – List of cookies
    – Option management?

    Plugin Author Rogier Lankhorst

    (@rogierlankhorst)

    @javiconzentra,

When you disable “sync” mode, the plugin will copy the content of the cookie policy, and replace the shortcode with the plain text output. You can then choose to replace parts of the content with shortcodes, as you suggest.

To be clear, you still don’t see the metabox with the sync/unlink option?

If you don’t see this metabox, there possibly is a conflict between a plugin and Complianz.

Did you try disabling all plugins to see which one it is?

If you know which plugin is causing the conflict, we can see if it’s fixable, or if we need to contact the plugin developer.

    Theme : Twenty Twenty.
    Plugins: Yoast Seo
Problem: When I edit the content is cut. (Install Yoast to have cookies)
It also happens in DIVI, I have noticed that it always cuts in the cookie table. That the div extends under the footer and that the list merges to the right as in the image.

    Hi @javiconzentra,

The cookies can be edited in the Wizard, under Cookies – Used Cookies & Used Services.

Editing these directly in the document is not advised.

We will have a look at Yoast in combination with the different themes.

    regards Aert

    (@javiconzentra)

I installed Yoast so that cookies would appear, not because it gave an error. I don’t want you to review it. What I want is to modify the text of the cookie policy document by deleting sections and modifying texts without damaging the document as happens in the video.

For example, deleting personal data that already appears in the privacy policy and by law is not mandatory in the cookie document if it appears in the privacy policy.

That is why I commented that; In view of the editing problems that exist, you could write your own document and, as in other cookie plugins, add two shortcodes with the list of cookies and another with the options (techniques, marketing …).

Because the problems I have is that either I cannot edit the document that you generated, or if I can edit it when I save it, it cuts out the cookie list and it is not displayed on the front-end. And if it appears cut, it seems that the structure is incorrect (https://snipboard.io/eu03Jx.jpg) , so it must be cut.

    Thanks

    Hi @javiconzentra,

    If you want to use just the cookie list and category list you can use;

    [cmplz-cookies] &
    [cmplz-manage-consent]

You can find all shortcodes here; https://complianz.io/used-shortcodes-by-complianz/

I have created a cookie page in Spanish and Catalan with Divi + Polylan and there has been no problem.

With another template that Gutemberg + WPML used, the Catalan has not worked. When adding the code it showed the content in English. As I have commented previously, when modifying the default text and translating it manually, it is cut in the cookie accordions although the content is still hidden.

One solution, although not the best, has been to add the page in Catalan as text and shortcodes. And they have worked properly. Thank you.

I think shortcodes are a great solution for 100% own content, it would be important to add it somewhere in the plugin as a help if it doesn’t already exist. But editing the autogenerated content should be thoroughly tested as it is problematic on the accordion.
    Greetings and thanks

    Javier
