• How get title , description, or caption to show – after it’s entered in media library? I’m stumped on that, with all my tests, no text will show. In the past one of those did show text right above the image. Now can’t figure it out. The theme developer is based in Ukraine, so hard to get answers for awhile thanks.

The answer depends on where you want this to appear. Within page or post content? Or on a media page? For within post or page content, what is in the media library (besides the image) is not generally used. You enter a new caption for that particular page or post. There is usually no title or description shown in page or post content.

On a media page, what is shown is theme dependent. If what you want is not shown, you likely need to add appropriate code the template responsible, typically attachment.php, but again, it’s theme dependent. Many themes just show the title and the media item, no caption or description.

Thanks B, I want at least the title to show when someone clicks on the images.. I put that in still no show… I think it used to show,. Could some recent version of WordPress broken it..? (it in a photographer gallery/ portfolio)

The built-in gallery block? Or one belonging to a theme or plugin?

With the built-in version, if you’ve chosen to link thumbnails to an attachment page, the resulting page display is entirely dependent upon your theme. Some themes may choose to display nothing but the image. Others may choose to show all sorts of information.

If not the built-in version, I recommend seeking the advice of the devs responsible through that module’s dedicated support channel.
