How i can make my look like index page..!!

    Hello Guys ,

    I and my few friends where working in HTML,CSS WEBSITES ( means making websites in HTML,Css ) but we use php,java-scripts code in it….But a week ago only i have got 2-3 projects with word press from my office and i have to complete it asap..

    So finally i have install WORD PRESS 3.0 with Benny theme to my local host and also to server.

    So the problem is i want to give my own look designs to index page and also to other pages .

    but when i remove Side bar or Category or other CODE from index.php so that i can add my own codes or content.. then is automatically removed from other pages also..

    I have made my own index page but problem is same look is coming in all page.. i don’t want like that .. i want my own look designs on all different pages ….

    so i wanna ask is it possible that i can give my own look designs to index and also to other sub pages … without any errors or mistake…

    i know… i can change index.php from Admin panel( editor –> index.php)

    but from there i can only make with include file(header , footer , siderbar..etc)..

    please help me out ..i waiting …. and some more suggestion .. like Can i added more category or sidebar on different pages..

    i want like this website where each page is given different different looks as per our choose … in HTML or PHP website its easily done but as i am new in Word press so need some help…. plss reply …

    Your issue is much more easier than my ??

    The easier way for you to do this is given a CLASS or ID to each page. After that you can style this page with CSS.

    yea i forget that point…. going by each page id or class …

    but bro suppose in my website i have around 300-600 pagess .. so i have to edit each page by going it id ,class css …

    bcz in HTML,PHP website we just copy any page and start editing in it …

    any simple method

    anyway thanks for this … i am going to try this … bt if u know any simple method pls tell me …

    you will see in the links that WP automatically generates the class for you.

    Another thing to see is the Page Template. Google about Page Template for wordpress and you will find it how to customise your pages.

    Sorry i am replying late .. as my area internet was shutdown ….

    yes u are right WP generate auto class and id for pages..
    and dude i tried the way u said that’s checking per page ID/Class and change it CSS but the prb is same as i said above… that’s

    if i change any code its automatically changed in all pages…secondly i saw the code .. in my theme (benny) folder there is only footer,sidbar,index, etc .PHP pages ..and each page is link or u can say its INCLUDE with it so i i change any code in any page its auto changed in all …

    so after searching all i got to know … when we ADD or CREATE any NEW PAGE its auto save in database .. so how i can change it page..
    please help me any one its very urgent … i am still waiting

    Another thing. I think you need to understand the root of WP. You need to learn how things works. You can find a lot of books out there. I would recommend books that teach you how to create themes.

    One suggestion is https://digwp.com.

    Meanwhile, you could search for tutorials about how to create wordpress theme.

    ok dude .. i got it …u wanna tell me that i have to play with coding.. making my own themes and include all other file in it …

    But If u dont mind .. can u please tell me Your Process How u started U where website…

    Means whole process so that i can follow that .. and dude I think this Topic will help Many Other People also .. Bcz many of them must not be knowing how to start editing index pages and other pages from start to end and make there own look like page website

    and dude i am deeply thankful to you that you are at least helping me …

    and lastly please tell me which Theme U using on u r wordpress …

    No dude i tried that method

    i paste the code and included only HEADER AND FOOTER

    i got my INDEX page without sidebar and category but now the problem is when i am adding any page in that the CONTENT/IMAGES OR FLASH is not shown in that … even i treid CSS in that part

    #content.{} …. but the also nothing is shown in INDEX PAGE.. ONLY INCLUED PART ( header,footer ) part is show ..

    pls help me
