How is this plug-in so popular

I just wanted a simple slideshow of family photos. I selected a slideshow and set all the parameters after reading the various “How to” articles. My slideshow isn’t showing the captions/titles or descriptions even though the navigation settings says something will show up. Then I discovered the description only shows up if you hover over the photo, which is useless. Then my setting of black for the ext colour is ignored and it’s white on a light grey background.

Even with the Gallery, unless I’m missing something, I have to add each photo individually with the “show” and “include in post”? Seriously? I have a slider with hundreds of images, added all at once, not individually.

Also, of all the sliders I’ve tested this has to be the slowest transition between slides of any of them.

Can’t delete it fast enough.
