How long does it take to remove AMP from site using AMPforWP

Once you have removed the AMP pages from the site it is then entirely up to Google as to what they do about it.
You can go to Google Webmaster Tools and under the Google Index tab choose Remove URLs.
You can enter the AMP URLs there and hope that Google gets around to removing them.

Thanks @marqas the tutorial is awesome. That’s the exact thing I needed. So if I put the code in SEO section within a week it will NOINDEX AMP pages.
So that means the AMP Google SERP results will also be replaced with the original desktop link? Am I right?
Doing this does it also affect the ranking of the SERP results?

It may take time but you can encourage google by doing 301 redirects if things are not going nicely.

SERPs – well google is clear that it is going mobile index first. It may end up depending upon many things including speed of your mobile pages.

I understand that you want to update the cache from the AMP cache. Fortunately, there is a way and here is how you can ping to the Google API and tell them to clean their index: https://developers.google.com/amp/cache/update-cache

@ahmedkaludi Thanks for the tips. So if I just use the Hide AMP Bulk Tools to disable AMP on all pages, will Google remove the AMP cache and replace it with the original ones? How long before Google shows the original links?
