Just installed WP Sweep. Ran the report.
Post Sweep shows: There are a total of 9,080 Posts and 25,892 Post Meta.
    Revisions 4,498 and 49.54%

I actually have 1385 posts and 21 drafts. My database is about 75MB but the storage of files is 2GB.

I hit the Sweep button on the post revisions at 8.15 pm today. It is now just past midnight – about 4 hours. Just wondering how long this will take. Is it okay to refresh the page? Sorry to sound like a doofus, but how will I know what progress the plugin is making?

Thanks for your patience. My website is https://vidyasury.com

That depends on the specs on your server. For heavy traffic like mine, it takes more than 1 minute. So I have to increase the PHP timeout to prevent it from timing out. If you did not do that, most likely it has time out.

It is always safe to refresh the page. The script can be run many times

Ah thank you Lester! What a prompt response. ?? I left the system on all night and just woke up to see what you wrote. Refreshed the page to find the revision count had gone from 4498 to 710. I ran the sweep again and it took 2 min to bring it down to 0. Now I am waiting for my webmaster to check the database size now!

    Thank you Lester.
