    Hi.

I want to know how many cached sizes of one image do Jetpack CDN create?

I’m using Jetpack CDN on my website and it came to my notice that the CDN produces several sizes of one image and make them available online.

I wonder how to figure out all of them before making a purge request?

    Thank you.

    Hi @iambozdar

Jetpack’s Site Accelerator will dynamically cache images and serve them at the optimal size for your site.

If you need files removed from the CDN, please contact us here. We can’t bulk purge the CDN, so we can only handle requests for under 10 images at a time. If you need to purge more than that, you can disable the CDN and the images will eventually be purged.

Do you mean disabling the CDN on my website will purge the image cache on its own, and I won’t need to make a URL based purge request? If so, then how long does this automatic purge take?

Yes, you are correct – The images will eventually stop being served by our CDN at some point after disabling the Image Accelerator in Jetpack.

There is no exact set time when this happens, but it could be a week to a couple months at most.
