How many items can go in the sidebars?

  • HI.

    Is there a limit to how many items can be added to either the left or right sidebars? Recently, I noticed that when I try to add items to my left sidebar, other items simply disappear. A similar thing seems to happen in the footer.

  • Hi,

    From my personal experience, it’s as much as your server can handle. Don’t think there is a standard number of items.

    Same thing applies to Menus, if there is too much items to handle, the additional items will disappear after you save it.
    And the menu will be dropped from it’s location after you save it

    Probably has to do with the AJAX script passing data to your server, and your server drops it either due to time out before it’s completed processing or simply cannot handle because it exceeds it’s limits.

    I could be wrong, but that’s my findings from my personal experience.
