Thinking of have one account to be shared among low-level staff for access to certain company information. How many multiple simultaneous logins is allowed for one user account?

  • Hi

    I don’t think there’s a limit.

It is better practice to use different user accounts so you can track who edits what / restrict access when it’s necessary etc.

    All the best!

There is not limit but if you visit your installation’s profile page then you can see and logout those other sessions.

Scroll down to Sessions and you’ll see the “Log Out Everywhere Else” button.

    Hi

There is no limit. But If you want to Stop Concurrent Logins, you can use Prevent Concurrent Logins plugin. It works out of the box and there are no settings for you to configure.

You can test the plugin in action by signing in to your WordPress site from two different browsers on your computer or using the private mode.

When you try to login to your site with the same username and password on the second browser, you will be able to successfully login. However, the plugin will terminate the old session, and clicking on any link in the previous browser window will take you to the login page.
