• Hi,
I’ve been following the video documentation about how to add different galleries to different categories. According to the video, the free theme provides the post format ‘gallery’, the idea being you can create different portfolios using different categories to differentiate them. I have created 1 portfolio using this method, but can’t create a new one.

When I create a post, I only see 2 options on the drop down list – standard and image – not gallery.
I have the screen options enabled, but I’m wondering if I’m missing a setting somewhere in WP dashboard to enable the other formats that the theme provides.

Or is this function only available in the paid version?

    Amanda,

You will use the “Image” post format to create galleries. There is no limit to the amount of galleries you can create.

Tag any Posts with a certain category and you will be able to add them to your menu. This is how you can organize your images into sorted galleries.

    Thanks!

    Hi, thanks for that info.

I have now decided to upgrade to a pro theme. I was looking at your themes and I prefer the home page slider on your Sensible theme to Gridsby. However portfolios are important to my site. Is it possible to create portfolio’s using the sensible theme?

Also whilst you’re here, I would really like to congratulate you on your step by step video guides. They are incredibly helpful to someone without technical knowledge, and you are the only theme maker I have come across to take the trouble to explain it all.

    Thanks you!
