How many users can a WP forum support ?

    Greetings to all ye WordPress forum gurus,

    This is pertaining to the site [ redundant link removed ]

    We have around 13000 users already registered on the site.

    The site needs to be redeveloped in a new CMS which is mobile friendly.

    Please opine whether it should be redeveloped in BB Press or phpBB or something else.

    We are looking at a user base of at least 60000 to 75000 or even more and we would like to have very active dentistry related forum.

    Also what security features need to be added on the forums so that it is proetected from spam.

    This site (the wp.org forums) is running bbpress. I don’t know the number of users but it’s way more than 75,000.

    Look into BBPress and BuddyPress.
