• Hi there,

I’m working on a project and am trying to figure out the best way to implement multisite (if possible).

Essentially, we’re trying to get lots of users to write on a particular topic. Accordingly, I’m trying to determine the following:

    (1) Should we use subdomains or sub-folders? Ex.:

    mysite.com/topic-1/author-1-post-title
    mysite.com/topic-1/author-2-post-title

    mysite.com/topic-1/author-n/post-title
    mysite.com/topic-2/author-n/post-title

    OR

    topic1.mysite.com/author-1-post-title
    topic1.mysite.com/author-2-post-title

    topic1.mysite.com/author-n-post-title
    topic2.mysite.com/author-n-post-title

    (2) Is there a limit to the number of users/authors we can add using multisite?

    Thanks for your help!

    (1) Total preference. If you want the site to be seen on google as all one site, subfolders. If you want them to be seen as separate, subdomains. But really there’s no diff.

    (2) Nope. As many authors as you want.

Awesome — thanks! I’ve got a follow on question on a diff topic, but will post under a new thread.
