I have high resolution RAW files I’m starting with. What are the best compression settings to use when exporting from RAW file to JPG, before uploading to my WP site with EWWW installed?

I would like to maintain high quality images (I’m a professional photographer) but of course want to keep the file size small. Not sure if it’s better to keep the JPG compression minimal when exporting and let EWWW do the rest, or compress more at that time.

A good quality level is usually around 85-90. With EWWW, if you’re using lossless compression, you can adjust that level to whatever you’re more comfortable, since lossless won’t change the quality level at all.

However, you can often achieve a better compression to quality ratio using the lossy options available via the cloud API at https://ewww.io

If you just want to try out a few images, you can use the web uploaders at TinyJPG and JPEGmini; TinyJPG is the regular lossy compression tool, and JPEGmini is used when you switch to the ‘fast lossy compression’.
